Having graduated from Cambridge University, Matthew’s first foray in to the music industry found him under the wing of Tears For Fears main man, Roland Orzabal.
Following on from this mentoring, Matthew signed to 25 Hour Convenience Store
, the label of Gary Powell from The Libertines
Thereafter, he released his second single “Crawl” which came to the attention of the producers of the hit TV show Dynamo: Magician Impossible
in 2012. Having already moved more into composition (scoring the short film Is This A Joke?
), he was asked to do the second series of Dynamo’s show.
Subsequent to the programme's success, Matthew’s work was noticed by award-winning composer, Rupert Gregson-Williams. He signed with Jo Tizzard and Rupert’s Shake Up
production music company and regularly writes for EMI/KPM and Extreme Music libraries.
A versatile composer, producer and songwriter, Matthew is comfortable in any genre, but is often called upon to create dynamic, electronic-based music fused with organic and orchestral elements.
